For one reason or another I opted to fly out to Denver a couple of days before the Retul University course starts. I popped into the Retul Studios this morning to say hello and as luck would have it head fitter, Todd Carver was performing a bike fit on local elite female roadie Susannah Gordon.
Watching Todd at work really brings home the advantages of having a measurement system like the Retul available. So much information can be gleaned so quickly under repeatable controlled conditions that in the hands of an expert fitter the fitting process becomes so much more accurate and informed. Being able to watch the numbers change immediately after making an adjustment and having the rider confirm that the positional changes were working for her to reinforce the fitters assessment. The process can be made to look easy by someone with as much knowledge, skill and experience. Glad I got here a day early now.
